3 Reasons You Should Stop Considering Yourself A Loser

Life has a way of putting us in very disturbing situations that can make us feel completely useless. The situation gets worse when others close to us and whose opinions we value begin to tell us how much of a failure they think we have become.

It is, therefore, a common phenomenon to hear of people succumbing to severe depression or committing suicide when they cannot take their perceived state of hopelessness anymore.

Well, I’m here to inform you that no one is useless; not even you. I may not know anything about your particular condition but one thing I know and am pretty sure about is that no one in this life is a loser for life.

Here are three reasons why you must put a stop to seeing yourself as a loser and prepare yourself for the extraordinary and impactful life that lies ahead of you.

1. Because it is not yet over.

You’re still alive, aren’t you? That’s the only reason you’re reading this article. You’re alive and you want to feel more alive, right? That’s an awesome thing to know about life. So long as we keep on living, no matter the size of our past mistakes, no matter our old age and no matter the volume of the debts we owe, we still have a chance to make amends.

As Richard Branson of Virgin Enterprises puts it, opportunities are like buses; there’s always another one on the way. So never give up. Stop calling yourself a loser because your next chance to perform the miracle you want is just around the corner.

2. Your value remains intact, however much you’ve been beaten down.

Let’s quickly take stock of some of the awesome personal assets you still possess.

Your time
Your brain
Your limbs
Your eyes and your ears
Your ability to move around, one way or the other
Your relationships and loved ones
Your health
Your talents
Your personal and professional experiences
Your academic qualifications or your knowledge and skills

And the list goes on and on! You see? Don’t you think in spite of the challenges you’ve been through you still have more than what you need to make another attempt to improve your circumstances? Honestly speaking, I think you do.

3. My last reason why I believe you should stop thinking negatively about your personal worth is that such thoughts kill dreams and initiative. It is always possible for any individual to rise above their troubles and make their life better than it is now. However, this can only happen when you cultivate positive thoughts about yourself.

Believe in your abilities and trust in your Maker to assist you to turn your life around once more.
