Orange Mobile Phone – Pocketable Business Mobile Phones


Most of the Orange SPV series have the windows mobile platform and M700 is the latest entrant into the mobile market with this platform. In many ways it is very much similar to the M600 but with a lot of added features like the 3G connectivity. The new M700 Orange mobile phone has a shinier finish though similar in shape and size. SPV M700 measures 58mm wide, 108mm tall and 18mm thick, and weighs 150g. It comes in two variants black and white. Both are attractive phones. The led colors glow and reflect and give the phone a smooth, polished, pearlescent color. This gives a stunning look to the device. The back of the handset is one formed piece of plastic with no joins and the rounded edge all add to the smooth finish of the phone.


The device is dominated by its display. At 320 x 240 pixel, 65,000 colors and 2.8 diagonal inches which is sharp and crisp.


Below the screen are embedded the silver color call and end keys with the navigation key in the center. The keys are more rounded and have a tactile feel to it. One interesting thing is that the device has many buttons all over. Button for voice recording, voice speed dial software, built in camera etc. There is a scroll wheel with a press-to-select feature.


This is Quad-band handset with 3G and it can handle HSDPA to 1.8Mbps. Adobe Reader is an invaluable addition. The phone has a full range of wireless connectivity with the built in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and the infra red port. It also has a SiRFstar III GPS antenna built into it, which means you can use it as a Sat Nav device. with its high speed data and transmission rich applications the phone makes for a good business tool. Email can be accessed through a POP address or by using a push service.


For personal use the Orange mobile phone comes with an inbuilt 2 mega pixel camera with video recording capabilities. The images can be viewed on the 65.536 colors (16 bits), TFT with much clarity. The phone boast of a There is 64MB of RAM and 128MB of ROM.

The battery life is quite impressive as it gives a ten hour play back of mp3 music.
